Time Warner Cable said Monday it has launched its Start Over service in its South Carolina division. The service, which allows customers to restart a program in progress, begins with 60 networks signed up to participate.

About 10,000 customers in Irmo, S.C., are taking part in the first stage of this rollout, which will expand to 137,000 digital cable customers in South Carolina in the coming months. Programmers on the service range from Oxygen and HBO to the local NBC and WB affiliates.

Time Warner also has made agreements with producers of shows, including Warner Bros. Entertainment, Universal Studios and New Line Cinema, to preserve the chain of content rights.
