AMC Hires Wayne as VP of Movies, Scripted Series

Christina Wayne has been named VP of scripted series and movies at AMC, the network said Wednesday.

Ms. Wayne, a screenwriter and director, has been serving as a programming consultant to AMC for the past six months and helped ramp up the network’s scripted series development department. She will lead production and development of AMC’s first miniseries, “Broken Trail,” a Western starring Robert Duvall that’s scheduled to air June 24-25, 2006. Ms. Wayne will be based in New York.
