Popular New York Giants running back Tiki Barber has been named a weekly contributor to Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends First,” the news network’s morning show. Mr. Barber, who has guest-hosted with the “Friends” crew on a number of occasions, will appear every Tuesday starting next week.

Mr. Barber’s TV experience includes a stint as an early-morning sports anchor at WCBS-TV in New York from 1999 to 2001. In the announcement Tuesday, Bill Shine, Fox News senior VP of programming, described Mr. Barber as “a remarkable talent whose knowledge far exceeds the goal line.”

Mr. Barber said he is “ecstatic to officially join Fox News and [looks] forward to contributing to their successful lineup as I segue into the next part of my professional life.”

Mr. Barber also serves as a co-host of YES Network’s “This Week in Football” and a regular guest on ESPN Radio’s Thursday night football show.
