In a major potential personnel shakeup for the National Association of Broadcasters, John Orlando, NAB executive VP of government relations, was rumored Monday to be leaving the association to head CBS’s Washington lobbying office. In addition, NAB announced that Laurie Knight, a lobbyist for the National Beer Wholesalers Association, is joining NAB’s government relations department as a senior VP. Mr. Orlando, a former top aide to Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., had not returned telephone calls at deadline. But in an official statement noting the hiring of Ms. Knight, NAB said that she would be reporting to Mr. Orlando at NAB. David Rehr, NAB’s new president and CEO, was previously the beer association’s chief.
