EchoStar Communications is expected to unveil a family tier of programming for Dish Network on Thursday, when CEO Charles Ergen testifies before the Senate Commerce Committee’s hearing on media indecency.

Cable operators including Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Insight Communications so far have announced family-friendly programming tiers.
