CBS Corp. division CBS Paramount Domestic Television and King World Productions are merging their publicity departments, a spokesman for CBS Corp. confirmed. John Wentworth, executive VP of communications at CBS Paramount, will take charge of the combined divisions.

As part of the restructure, the positions held by veteran King World Senior VP of Communications chief Arthur Sando and CBS Paramount publicity VP Manfred Westphal have been eliminated, and the two executives will be leaving the company.

King World’s VP of Communications Susannah Beck will transition over as a lieutenant to Mr. Wentworth.

The new publicity division will centralize CBS Corp.’s PR initiatives for its syndicated shows, which include CBS Paramount’s “Entertainment Tonight,” “The Insider” and “Judge Judy” as well as King World’s “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Dr. Phil” and this fall’s “Rachael Ray.”
