CMT Orders Dallas Cheerleader Docu-Soap

Feb 3, 2006  •  Post A Comment

CMT has ordered an eight-episode docu-soap reality series chronicling the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader tryouts.

The order follows CMT’s record-setting ratings for the “Miss America Pageant,” which made its basic cable debut last month and became the most-watched program in the Viacom-owned network’s history.

In addition to the as-yet-untitled cheerleader program, CMT has also ordered eight episodes of “The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search,” a bar-dancing competition series. “Coyote” will debut in April; the cheerleader series will premiere later this year.
