To promote its new documentary series “Black. White.,” News Corp.-owned FX has produced its first music video and has made deals to distribute it via several Web and mobile platforms, including News Corp.-owned MySpace.

The music video for the song “Race Card” by Ice Cube, one of the show’s executive producers, will be available exclusively on MySpace for six days starting today. After that it will appear on Yahoo, AOL, TVGuide.com and BlackAmerica.com and on cellphones via Sprint, Nextel and Boost Mobile and its partner GoTV.

The network expects the music video and other original content to generate 145 million exposures before March 8, when the show premieres.

FX has also created ringtones, wallpaper, MP3s and a five-minute teaser for “Black. White.” to run on digital and mobile platforms.

In “Black. White.,” two families use makeup to trade races and the six-part documentary follows their interactions with the world in their new skins.
