NBC Wins Week in Viewers; Fox Wins Adults 18 to 49

NBC was tops in total viewers with its Olympics programming for the week ended Feb. 26, but Fox still enjoyed the highest-rated program in both demos and a win in adults 18 to 49.

The Wednesday edition of “American Idol” was No. 1 in adults 18 to 49 with a 13.5 rating, a number that includes live-plus-same-day viewing, according to Nielsen Media Research. Wednesday’s “Idol” also boasted 31.7 million viewers. The Tuesday “Idol” was second in both demos with a 13.0 in adults 18 to 49 and 30.2 million viewers.

Fox was No. 1 in the demo for the week with a 6.6, followed by NBC (5.7), ABC (4.0), CBS (3.0), The WB (1.3) and UPN (1.2).

In total viewers NBC was tops with 19.5 million, followed by Fox (15.5 million), ABC (11.3 million), CBS (10.0 million), the WB (2.8 million) and UPN (2.6 million).
