Sony Pictures Television has cleared its Emmy Award-winning live-action children’s series, “Beakman’s World” in 65 percent of the country, including the Fox owned-and-operated stations, for a fall syndication run.

Targeted to 13- to 16-year-olds, “Beakman’s World” was originally created in 1993 and ran for one season on TLC and in syndication before going to CBS’s Saturday morning kids block for an additional four seasons.

Based on the Universal Press Syndicate comic feature “You Can With Beakman & Jax” by Jok Church, the series starred Paul Zaloom as Professor Beakman, an eccentric scientist who was joined in his laboratory by a handful of friends who would help with science experiments.

“Beakman’s World” was a joint enterprise of Columbia Pictures Television, Columbia TriStar Television Distribution and Universal Belo Productions. Mark Waxman served as executive producer and head writer.
