Rick Feldman has signed a multiyear agreement to continue as president and CEO of the National Association of Television Program Executives.
The announcement was made Wednesday by NATPE co-Chairs Emerson Coleman, VP of programming for Hearst-Argyle Television, and Stephen Davis, president of mobile and online media for InfoSpace.
Mr. Feldman has run NATPE since April 2003 and oversees day-to-day operations and planning for the association’s worldwide activities and its annual conference and exhibition.
Before joining NATPE, Mr. Feldman was executive VP and chief operating officer of USA Broadcasting, where he oversaw a group of four stations, including WAMI-TV in Miami. During his tenure at USA, Mr. Feldman launched independent stations in major markets including Dallas, Atlanta and Boston. He also supervised the company’s Stationworks facility, the centralized digital distribution control room in Los Angeles designed to function as master control for the station group.
Mr. Feldman also spent 16 years at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, where he began as a general sales manager before working his way up to president and general manager. Mr. Feldman also served as VP and sales manager with Metromedia in New York and as promotion manager for WJZ-TV in Baltimore. He began his career as a media buyer at Ted Bates Advertising in New York.
