Cable operator Insight Communications announced three new executive promotions Thursday, including a new president.

Dinni Jain, who was executive VP and chief operating officer, was named president of the cable company, assuming a title that had been held by CEO Michael Willner.

Mr. Jain, who has been with the company since 2002 as chief financial officer, will retain his COO title with the promotion and be responsible for the daily operation of the company.

Mr. Willner will remain vice chairman and CEO.

Insight also announced that John Abbot, who had been a senior VP and chief financial officer, was promoted to executive VP, and will remain as CFO.

Chris Slattery, who had been senior VP of field operations, was promoted to executive VP.
