NBC’s ‘Cooking Showdown’ Adds Celebrities

NBC’s week-long reality series “Celebrity Cooking Showdown” slated for April has added celebrity participants, including a supermodel, a soap star and a beauty queen.

Participants include supermodel Naomi Campbell, “Days of our Lives” star Allison Sweeney, country music artist Big Kenny, actor Tom Arnold, former Kansas City Chiefs football player Tony Gonzales, rapper/actor Ja Rule, professional volleyball player/model Gabrielle Reese, musician/reality show participant Ashley Parker Angel and Miss USA 2005 Chelsea Cooley.

Actor Alan Thicke and celebrity cook/author Sandra Lee will host the show, which airs April 17 through April 21 at 8 p.m. (ET). Event planner Colin Cowie and New York magazine restaurant critic Gael Greene have also been named as in-studio judges. Previously announced celebrity chefs participating in the show include Wolfgang Puck, Cat Cora (Food Network’s “Iron Chef America”) and Los Angeles chef Govind Armstrong.
