The NBC Universal Television Stations Group is developing a syndicated talk strip that is expected to run in daytime and will incorporate a studio audience.

A classified ad that ran last week in several trade publications from the station group sought an executive producer to “develop and take to air a new daytime show concept” that is “live with a studio audience.” The ad also said the show “will be designed to provide community on-air and on-line activity.”

The show could be scheduled in a post-“Today” time slot, have a local element and employ a two-host format, Broadcasting & Cable reported in its March 27 edition, which noted that the station group shot a pilot in 2005 with Tony Potts, an “Access Hollywood” weekend anchor.

A spokesman declined to answer specifics about the project but did confirm a series is in development and that the station group was “excited about it.”
