“60 Minutes” content is going to become available to Yahoo users in the fall, when the CBS News show begins its 39th season.

On Sunday nights, a Yahoo microsite dedicated to the newsmagazine will add two news packages, one of them expanding on a segment from that night’s show and one based on “a topical news theme for that particular week,” the announcement said. Both segments are promised to include “never-before-seen ’60 Minutes’ video footage, as well as interactive elements such as maps, a reporter’s notebook, blogs and photo galleries. Most packages will be a combination of new video footage and video content pulled from the rich archives of ’60 Minutes.'”

A preview of how the deal will work is scheduled for Sunday using Ed Bradley’s rare interview with golfer Tiger Woods.

The magazine’s content will continue to be available at CBSNews.com.

“We believe this is an important step toward establishing ’60 Minutes’ as the newsmagazine of the future,” CBS News and Sports President Sean McManus said in the announcement.
