‘Ellen’ Gets Double Win at Daytime Emmys

For the second year in a row, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” won in the best talk show and talk show host categories at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

The 33rd annual awards, which were held last Friday in Los Angeles for the first time, also saw ABC’s soap opera “General Hospital” walk home with nine awards, including best daytime drama and best lead actor for “Hospital’s” Anthony Geary.

Kim Zimmer won her fourth award in the lead actress category for her work on the CBS soap “Guiding Light.” Meanwhile, Alex Trebek won for best game show host for his work on the syndicated game show “Jeopardy!”
