Fox Wins Week in Adults 18-49; CBS Wins Viewers

Fox once again was the top network in the adults 18 to 49 demographic for the week, while CBS was victorious in total viewers.

For the week ended April 16, Fox’s Tuesday edition of “American Idol” was the No. 1 show in adults 18 to 49 with a 12.0 rating, a number that includes live-plus-same-day viewing, according to Nielsen Media Research. “Idol” Tuesday was also tops in total viewers, garnering 29.6 million .

The Wednesday edition of “Idol” was No. 2 in the demo with a 9.2, followed by Fox’s medical drama “House” with an 8.5 rating in total viewers CBS’s “CSI” was second with 24.4 million viewers, followed by “Idol” Wednesday (22.6 million).

For the week Fox averaged a 4.0 in adults 18 to 49, followed by ABC (3.4), CBS (3.3), NBC (2.6), the WB (1.2) and UPN (1.1).

In total viewers CBS scored 11.4 million, followed by ABC (9.7 million), Fox (9.6 million), NBC (8.0 million), The WB (2.9 million) and UPN (2.7 million).
