Chris Moseley, executive VP and chief marketing officer for Crown Media, the parent of Hallmark Channel, is leaving the company effective the end of April, the network said Monday.

“I have accomplished the objectives we set out when I joined Crown Media and I am leaving behind a group of executives who have the talent and the experience to meet the challenges ahead. I’m ready for the next mountain to climb,” said Ms. Moseley, who joined Hallmark in 2000.

Hallmark Channel has been up for sale, and it was unclear whether the uncertainty played a part in Ms. Moseley’s decision to depart.

“She was part of building the marketing powerhouse that has allowed us to leverage the brand strength of our parent company into one of the fastest cable channel launches ever,” said David Evans, President and CEO of Crown Media. “Chris leaves us with a talented and experienced group of marketing executives ready to meet the challenges ahead.”

Before joining Crown Media, Ms. Moseley worked as an executive VP of ABC Network Marketing as well as senior VP, Marketing for Discovery Communications.
