NBC Daytime is spinning off a clothing line inspired by one of the characters on “Passions” with the launch of CraneCouture.com, a Web site offering youthful clothes similar to those worn on the soap by Fancy Crane, a character played by Emily Harper.
“We are thrilled to be the first daytime drama to sell a character’s clothing line to the fans exclusively online,” NBC Daytime Programs VP Annamarie Kostura said in the Wednesday announcement.
The collection-three skirts and four tops priced from $34 to $110-is a collaboration of designs created by Delivery Agent and “Passions” and is the first clothing line incorporated into a daytime drama that is also available to the public. Viewers can see Fancy Crane wearing her designs on-air throughout April.
