ABC Names Hartman VP of Media Relations

ABC Entertainment has named Hope Hartman VP of media relations.

She will report to Nicole Nichols, senior VP of entertainment communications for the Disney-ABC Television Group, who made the announcement Monday.

Ms. Hartman will work with ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson, overseeing communications efforts for prime-time and late-night programming, including managing programming, corporate, marketing and scheduling-related publicity.

Ms. Hartman was principal of her own PR firm, Fingers Crossed Communications, where she worked for UCLA, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, ABC Family and ABC Daytime. Before that she was the PR executive for Buena Vista’s “Live With Regis and Kelly” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

Ms. Hartman also served as an account supervisor at Ketchum Public Relations, where she worked with clients ExxonMobil, the W.M. Keck Foundation, Price Waterhouse and British Petroleum. She began her career in the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Indiana as an information specialist serving the Indiana Department of Commerce.
