Fox Tops Week in Adults 18-49

It’s another week, another win for Fox in the adults 18 to 49 demographic with help from its top-rated “American Idol.”

For the week ended April 30, the top two airings in both adults 18 to 49 and total viewers were editions of “Idol,” with the Tuesday show scoring a 12.9 rating in the demo, a number that includes live-plus-same-day viewing, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Tuesday’s “Idol” also garnered 28.7 million viewers. Wednesday’s edition of “Idol” scored almost as well, with a 12.7 in the demo and 28.2 million viewers. In the demo, Fox’s “House” was third with an 11.2 rating, while CBS’s “CSI” was third in total viewers with 27.4 million.

Fox was tops for the week in adults 18 to 49 with a 4.3, followed by CBS (3.7), ABC and NBC (both 3.1), Univision (1.5), UPN (1.3), The WB (1.2) and Telemundo (0.4).

In total viewers, CBS was the top network for the seventh consecutive week, garnering 13.1 million viewers, followed by Fox (10.3 million), NBC (8.9 million), ABC (8.2 million), Univision (3.4 million), The WB (3.0 million), UPN (2.9 million) and Telemundo (960,000).
