In a night full of scripted repeats, the second-season premiere of Fox’s reality series “So You Think You Can Dance” was the top-rated show Thursday in adults 18 to 49.

The two-hour “Dance” scored a preliminary national rating of 4.2 in adults 18 to 49, a number that includes live-plus-same-day viewing, according to Nielsen Media Research.

“Dance” was down from its first-season debut last July (4.6), but was still strong enough to outpace all of its network competition. Fox’s closest competitor for the night was CBS with its repeat procedurals. The No. 2 show for the night was CBS’s “CSI” repeat at 9 p.m. (3.5).
