Yahoo has added Vince Broady, an executive with extensive Internet experience, to its media group and has given more responsibilities to David Katz, the company said Tuesday.

Mr. Broady will oversee Yahoo’s games, entertainment and youth properties, effective June 14. He was senior VP of CNET. Mr. Broady sold his game business GameSpot to CNET in 2003.

Former CBS executive David Katz will become head of Yahoo Studios, which will focus on the development and production of event-based, original and user-generated content for Yahoo Media Group properties. Mr. Katz, who was in charge of entertainment and sports for Yahoo, will continue to oversee Yahoo Sports.

“Vince is an online innovator, whose vast Internet experience and media expertise will be of enormous value to us as we continue to build our media business,” said Lloyd Braun, head of Yahoo Media Group.

Mr. Braun said of Mr. Katz: “By further defining David’s role in the entertainment community, we can now put his creativity and development experience to work for all Yahoo Media Group properties.”
