Atlas, Tandberg Ink Marketing Partnership

Atlas On Demand has sewn up deals with all the major video-on-demand ad insertion vendors with the news Thursday that it’s inked a marketing partnership with Tandberg Television. As part of the deal, the two companies will market each other’s on-demand tools to cable operators, ad agencies and advertisers.

Atlas will integrate Tandberg’s AdPoint VOD ad insertion tools into its VOD ad campaign software, and Tandberg will do the same.

Atlas struck deals last year to integrate its software into VOD server makers SeaChange and C-Cor, who also have ad insertion systems for VOD. However, Tandberg is the only vendor that has publicly announced a deployment of its insertion technology. Comcast is currently rolling out the AdPoint product.

“We are looking for the widest scope and scale for non-linear advertising,” said Scott Ferris, general manager for Atlas On Demand. “Everyone is focused on the shifting of media dollars to more accountable media channels.”
