Kim McQuilken, Cartoon Network’s executive VP of ad sales, marketing and enterprises, is leaving the company to pursue other business interests, the network said Monday.

Mr. McQuilken, a former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, has been with Turner Broadcasting since 1992 and will stay at the cable channel through the upfront advertising-sales season.

Cartoon Network didn’t immediately name a replacement. Four Cartoon executives-John O’Hara, senior VP of ad sales; Phyllis Ehrlich, senior VP of promotions and marketing, John Friend, senior VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises; and Thalia Doherty, VP and national sales manager, will report on an interim basis to David Levy, president of Turner Entertainment Ad Sales and Marketing and president of Turner Sports.

“Kim played a pivotal role in driving the growth of Cartoon Network Ad Sales and helping make it a powerful force in the animation marketplace,” Mr. Levy said. “We wish him continued success as he moves on to new playing fields.”
