CBS is closing the book on its summer reality series “Tuesday Night Book Club.”

The network announced Thursday it will put “Book Club” on hiatus starting Tuesday, June 27, and gave no future airdates for the remaining episodes. The newsmagazine “48 Hours Mystery” will air in the 10 p.m. (ET) time slot on June 27 and July 11. The network has not scheduled a replacement program for the Tuesday, July 18, time slot.

“Book Club” averaged a 1.6 rating in adults 18 to 49 in its first two airings, a number that includes live viewing and same day viewing via digital video recorder, according to Nielsen Media Research.

“Book Club” is produced by The Jay and Tony Show for Magic Molehill Productions Inc. Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh were executive producers.
