CNN Headline News hopes its weeknight stars shine as brightly on weekend nights. Starting June 17, Headline News will extend encore and remixed segments of “Prime News With Erica Hill,” “Nancy Grace” and “Showbiz Tonight” to Saturdays and Sundays, where they will join repeats of latest addition “Glenn Beck.”

Announcing the programming move Wednesday, CNN Worldwide VP Ken Jautz said, “Launching ‘Glenn Beck’ across all seven days was a great way to test the waters, and the results prompted us to take a look at other ways we could build our weekend programming.”

The new weekend lineup will start with “Prime News” at 6 p.m. and “Glenn Beck” at 7 p.m. both nights; “Nancy Grace” at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturdays and 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Sundays; and “Showbiz” at 11 p.m. both nights.
