Echostar, Ford Partner for New Interactive Ad Campaign

EchoStar launched a new interactive advertising campaign for Ford that reaches the satellite operator’s nearly 12 million subscribers.

The ads, which will run through mid-July and feature the car maker’s newest Mustang, will allow viewers to see more than 15 TV screens showing various colors and styles for the car. Viewers can interact with the ads on the TV, using their remote control to request a Mustang-themed ringtone, view photos, ask for a brochure or find a local Ford dealer.

EchoStar has been a leader among video distributors in interactivity, due in large part to its deployment of interactive-capable set-top boxes across most of its territory.
