Patti McTeague has been promoted to senior VP of kids communications for the Disney-ABC Television Group.

Ms. McTeague will continue to work with Rich Ross, president of Disney Channel Worldwide, and will oversee publicity initiatives for all kids communications areas for the company, including the wholly owned basic cable kids platforms and programming blocks Disney Channel Worldwide, Playhouse Disney, Toon Disney and Jetix. She also will oversee publicity for ABC Kids, Walt Disney Television Animation and Radio Disney.

Kevin Brockman, senior VP of communications for Disney-ABC Television Group, to whom she reports, made the announcement Monday.

Prior to her promotion, Ms. McTeague was VP of kids communications for the company. She joined ABC-Disney in March 2002 after a four-month consultancy to Disney Channel.

Before ABC-Disney, Ms. McTeague spent six years at UPN, where she was VP of media and talent relations.
