The doctors of Seattle Grace will soon be practicing on Lifetime.

Buena Vista Television has sold the ABC medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” for an off-network run starting in 2007. The first season of the series will run weekly on Lifetime starting in 2007. “Grey’s” will then be scheduled in a Monday-through-Friday run starting in 2009.

“Grey’s” has been a ratings performer on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. (ET) as the lead-out for “Desperate Housewives” for the past two seasons. For 2006-07, “Grey’s” is moving to Thursdays at 9 p.m., giving ABC its strongest competition on a night that has been dominated by NBC and CBS for more than a decade.
