Longtime “Entertainment Tonight” and “the Insider” executive producer Linda Bell Blue has signed a multiyear contract to continue running both shows.

Ms. Blue, who also oversees the weekend edition of “ET” plus cable versions of the show, is adding a new brand extension to her responsibilities — “The Insider on Showtime.” The length and amount of the contract were not specified.

The new entertainment newsmagazine will appear on the Showtime pay cabler. Showtime and “ET” production company CBS Paramount are both owned by parent company CBS Corp.

The announcement was made Friday by Terry Wood, president of creative affairs and development for CBS Paramount Domestic Television and King World.

A former TV news producer, Ms. Blue joined “ET” 11 years ago as the series was entering its 15th season. “ET” has been the No.1 newsmagazine in syndication for 10 years.

“ET” spinoff “The Insider” is currently in its second season in syndication.
