Tribune Ups Morehouse, Schacher

Tribune Broadcasting on Thursday announced two promotions that divide up the responsibilities held by Dick Askin before he resigned as president and CEO of Tribune Entertainment in mid-May.

L. Clark Morehouse III was appointed executive VP and general manager of Tribune Entertainment Company, the Los Angeles-based television programming and distribution business. Marc S. Schacher was named senior VP of programming and development of Tribune Broadcasting. Both men will report to Tribune Broadcasting President and CEO John Reardon. The boosts take effect immediately.

Mr. Morehouse, who joined Tribune Entertainment in 2000 as senior VP of advertising sales, will oversee all of the unit’s operations, including sales.

Mr. Schacher joined Tribune in 1979 and was named VP of programming and development in 1995. He will continue to be responsible the common programming needs of the Tribune television group.
