CNN anchor Daryn Kagan is leaving the news network after 12 years to launch an eponymous Web site, she told CNN colleagues Thursday.

In an e-mail to colleagues, she said Darynkagan.com “will be an inspirational, online community dedicated to the radical idea that the world is a good place. Sounds different, I know. It is. Watch the site for more details in the coming weeks.” She said the Web site will launch Nov. 13.

Ms. Kagan made some news when she dated right-wing talk radio king Rush Limbaugh. The two called it quits after two years.

Her last appearance as CNN’s weekday late-morning anchor will be Sept. 1. There is no word on her replacement, a CNN spokeswoman said.

CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told CNN staffers: “We’re sad to see her leave.”
