TBS has ordered a live late-night game show in which call-in viewers can win cash prizes, the network announced Wednesday.

“Midnight Money Madness” will be produced by Endemol, which has produced similar shows in 22 other countries. The two-hour show will run Monday through Thursday at midnight and launches Aug. 28. Home viewers can phone, text message or send e-mail to the show for contestant consideration. Select viewers are called back to play live. The show will be hosted by two as-yet-unnamed comics.

“With 10 years of experience delivering Call TV shows to broadcasters around the world, we are delighted to be taking the format to the next level with our first show in the U.S. on TBS” said Jon Vlassopulos, VP of business development, strategic planning and digital media for Endemol USA.

TBS touts “Midnight” as the first time Endemol has produced a call-in quiz-show concept in the United States. But GSN has aired similar live late-night program since April called “Playmania” produced by the network and Optimistic Entertainment.
