Alexis Glick has joined Fox News Channel as director of business news. She’s also expected to be an important on- air figure for the business news channel Fox News is preparing to launch.

Ms. Glick has been a correspondent for NBC News’ “Today Show” and co-anchored the third hour of the program. Previously she had been a trading correspondent for CNBC and an executive director at Morgan Stanley.

Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News, said he expected Ms. Glick and Neil Cavuto, VP and managing editor of business news, “to work together to create an even stronger business unit and prepare for the launch of a possible business channel. While we are not announcing the launch of such a channel, hiring Alexis enables us to be prepared if plans move forward.”
