KNBC in Los Angeles Downgrades ‘Mullally’ Show

Add Los Angeles to the list of markets downgrading Megan Mullally to less desirable time slots.

On Monday, KNBC quietly moved stage and screen star Megan Mullally’s nationally-syndicated talk show to noon from 3 p.m., where it has played since its Sept. 18 debut.

The Los Angeles downgrade follows a similar move at WNBC in New York two weeks ago and at a Columbus, Ohio NBC station last week. The time shifts constitute a new hurdle for “The Megan Mullally Show,” which has trailed behind other freshman talk programs such as “Rachael Ray.”

“Megan” last week posted a 13 percent increase in ratings compared with the prior week, but still averaged a .9, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s less than half the audience “Rachael” garnered.
