Turner Classic Movies announced a programming slate Thursday that includes a series pilot and a host of specials.

The pilot order is for “Idols” (working title), in which celebrities interview the actors who influenced them. Alec Baldwin interviews Gene Wilder for the pilot.

Specials include “Spielberg on Spielberg,” a 90-minute documentary on the iconic director; “Val Lewton’s American Horror,” a 90-minute documentary about the writer-producer of “Cat People” directed by Martin Scorsese; and “Brando” (working title), a two-hour documentary on the legendary actor.

“At TCM, we are about more than just showing the very best movies Hollywood has made over the past century,” said Tom Karsch, executive VP and general manager of the network. “This slate of programming demonstrates our commitment to building upon those movies to create a dynamic television destination for movie lovers of all ages.”
