News Corp.’s 20th Century Fox film unit has promoted Jamie McCabe to the newly created position of executive VP in charge of pay-per-view, video-on-demand and electronic sell-through of film and television content.

Mr. McCabe will continue to report to Peter Levinsohn, president of worldwide pay television and digital media, 20th Century Fox said Wednesday in a statement. In his previous role as a senior VP, Mr. McCabe was responsible for implementing deals for Fox with companies including Amazon, AOL, CinemaNow and Movielink.
