Sherry to Head TVWeek Ad Sales

Bob Sherry has been named national sales director for TelevisionWeek.

He will be responsible for all advertising sales, both in print and online, for the publication.

Prior to joining TVWeek, Mr. Sherry was VP and group publisher for Primedia Automotive Digital, where he oversaw 61 Web sites. Before joining Primedia in 2004, Mr. Sherry was senior VP of sales and marketing for Affinity Group Inc. and its 43 magazines and Web sites.

“Bob has an incredible background and is the perfect person to help navigate our clients through the current TV environment, which has been characterized by so much change recently,” said TelevisionWeek Publisher and Editorial Director Chuck Ross, to whom Mr. Sherry will report.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the No. 1 publication in the TV arena,” Mr. Sherry said. “Even though I don’t immediately come from the world of television, in the past I’ve worked closely with a number of notables in the TV industry, including Ryan Seacrest, so I’m quite familiar with TVWeek. And I’m so excited that this position allows me to tap into my experience serving clients both in print and online.”
