TVN to Carry New Line Titles on Demand

Video-on-demand aggregator TVN Entertainment said it has inked a deal with New Line Cinema to carry its movies on demand. The multi-year deal calls for TVN to offer new releases, library titles and direct-to-video movies from the film company to TVN’s distribution partners.

TVN distributes VOD content, including movies, to cable and telephone video providers.

Movies continue to be the big cash cow behind the VOD business. Research firm Kagan estimates that cable operators will generate $1.1 billion in VOD revenue this year, with the majority of that coming from fee-based movies.
