ABCnews.com video blogger Amanda Congdon will launch a new Internet show on Dec. 22 on online video site Blip.TV and her own Web site, starringamandacongdon.com. Blip will also distribute the show to iTunes and MySpace. The show has landed advertisers Dove and Paltalk, a Unilever product, Blip said in a statement.

Ms. Congdon rose to popularity late last year as the former host of Rocketboom, one of the Web’s first video blogs. She jumped ship mid-year and then landed a gig this fall video blogging on ABCnews.com. She’s among a handful of viral video celebrities who have made the leap to bigger venues. Others include YouTube talent Brooke Brodack, who landed a contract with NBC last summer.

The new venture is also noteworthy because very few online shows are supported by major brand advertisers, Blip said. Dove will sponsor a contest, hosted at dovecreamoil.com, inviting users to create ads for Dove Cream Oil Body Wash.

Ms. Congdon’s show will be a behind-the-scenes look at her life and work in L.A.
