The holiday programming malaise continued Monday, with a rerun-soaked field easily dominated by NBC’s ongoing powerhouse combo of “Deal or No Deal” and “Heroes.” But NBC’s weakest link, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” hit a season low.

NBC led the night with a 4.8 average, far and above second-place ABC, which had a 3.3. “Deal” (5.0 average 18 to 49 rating, according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research reports) and “Heroes” (6.5) were both about average, but “Studio 60” (3.0) sunk to its lowest rating of the season, down 14 percent from its prior season average of 3.5.

ABC had “Wife Swap” (3.4), followed by the decently rated season premiere of “Supernanny” (4.0), then “What About Brian” (2.6).

CBS was third place, averaging a 2.9, with its comedy block and “CSI: Miami” in reruns. Fourth-place Fox had the “2006 Billboard Music Awards,” which scored its lowest rating ever (2.7). The CW’s comedy block was in reruns and earned a 0.8 average for the evening.
