TV Land will be showing the class comedy series “M*A*S*H” on Jan. 1 and plans to give the show a major welcome.

In addition to episodes, during the first week of January, the Viacom-owned cable network aimed at baby boomers will also be showing the 20th and 30th reunion specials for the show, the series finale, and the original theatrical movie directed by Robert Altman that spawned the series.

“M*A*S*H” is the No. 1 favorite show among adults 40-59 and a top 5 show among all adults, according to a study commissioned by TV Land.

“‘M*A*S*H’ is undoubtedly one of the greatest television shows of all time,” said Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land, in a statement Thursday. “With an incredible ensemble cast and witty, sharp writing, it is no wonder it is the no. 1 show among Baby Boomers.”
