Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman believes the bulk of the company’s projected $500 million in digital revenue for 2007 will come from advertising sales, AdAge reported.

At a Credit Suisse Media Conference Monday, he said Viacom will “enforce rights” to protect the company’s copyright material if necessary, AdAge said.

Once Viacom hits the $500 million digital revenue mark, the company will start enjoying the benefits of higher margins associated with digital ad sales, he said. Mr. Dauman said that currently the company is incurring higher costs in digital pursuits as it bulks up its ad sales staff, AdAge reported.
