General Motors, Maybelline to Sponsor ‘Under the Tents’

General Motors’ Saturn division and Maybelline New York have signed on as sponsors of the WE cable network’s “Under the Tents,” an original series that looks at trends during Fashion Week in New York.

Both advertisers will receive on-air and online exposure on WE and its Web site during the first quarter of 2007.

A Saturn vehicle will be integrated during the show’s “Profile of an Emerging Designer” segment. Maybelline, which also sponsored “Under the Tents” last year, will get two custom vignettes that illustrate new beauty trends using the company’s products. The vignettes will also appear on line.

Arlene Manos, President of Rainbow national network advertising sales, said WE’s original shows “are creating opportunities with advertisers looking to reach a core audience of women.”
