The final nine episodes of “The Sopranos” will debut April 8, along with the start of the third season of “Entourage.”

The announcement was made by HBO CEO Chris Albrecht at the network’s Television Critics Association press tour session. Mr. Albrecht added that “Sopranos” showrunner David Chase, who wrote and directed the show’s pilot, will also write and direct the finale.

“Sopranos” will run through June, after which David Milch’s new surf-noir drama “John From Cincinnati” will take its slot.
