MTV Networks’ chief operating officer and its head of affiliate sales are leaving the company.

Michael Wolf, former managing partner at McKinsey & Co., joined MTV as president and chief operating officer a little more than a year ago.

“We’re grateful to have had his undivided attention devoted to our company for the past year,” said Judy McGrath, chairman and CEO of MTV Networks. She credited Mr. Wolf with creating a long-range plan for the company and recruiting several senior executives.

Also leaving the company is Nicole Browning, president of affiliate sales and marketing, who has been with MTV Networks for more than 20 years.

Ms. Browning recently completed two carriage deals, and the network’s other distribution agreements will be in place until 2008, making this a good moment to leave.

An MTVN spokeswoman said the company will be looking to fill both posts.
