Sci Fi Channel’s rating slipped last season, but it finished the year as a top 10 network among viewers 25 to 54. Average total viewership fell 5 percent and delivery of 18- to 49-year-olds was down 10 percent for the year, though the numbers began to rise in the fourth quarter.

The network added to its “Stargate” and “Battlestar Galactica” franchises with the new original series “Eureka,” which scored the network’s highest-rated premiere ever. Sci Fi also is betting on a new reality show, “Who Wants to Be a Superhero,” and “The Dresden Files,” about a private detective who is also a wizard.
