Guests at the 28th annual College Television Awards Gala will have a ball with this year’s host, Emmy Award winner and “Dancing With the Stars” anchor man Tom Bergeron.

“We are thrilled to have Tom Bergeron host our annual gala honoring these talented students,” said Terri Clark, executive director of the Television Academy Foundation. “His comedic wit guarantees that all those in attendance will be in for a memorable and fun evening.”

Mr. Bergeron, who began his broadcast career in 1972, has been an on-air personality on “Good Morning America,” “Hollywood Squares,” “The Early Show” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

Other luminaries expected to attend include director Paris Barclay, composer Sean Callery and “American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

The invitation-only gala for students receiving awards will take place March 31 at Culver Studios. The College Television Awards Festival follows the next day at the Television Academy Foundation’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theater in North Hollywood, and will be open to the public.

Winners will be featured by Sundance Channel both on-air and on its Web site.
