CBS Develops Kutcher Game Show

Drama-driven CBS has ordered a game show pilot from actor-producer Ashton Kutcher.

Producers described the concept, tentatively titled “Game Show in My Head,” as “a fresh take on the modern prime-time game show involving hidden cameras, preposterous tasks and a million dollars in prize money.”

Mr. Kutcher will executive produce along with his partner Jason Goldberg at Katalyst Films (MTV’s “Punk’d,” The CW’s “Beauty and the Geek”) and with Hat Trick Productions’ Jimmy Mulville and Leon Wilde.

If greenlighted, the concept would be CBS’s first game show since last summer’s “Game Show Marathon.”

CBS occasionally airs prime-time “The Price Is Right” specials, but lacks a regularly scheduled contest show a la NBC’s “Deal or No Deal” or Fox’s new “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

The network just finished the February sweeps first in total viewers and currently leads all networks, season to date, among adults 18 to 49.
